About Depth

The "Depth" monika was originally instigated by Nick Shim back in 1994 as an alter-ego for his remix, production and DJ work, which he wanted to keep seperate and distinct from his work in electronic duo Maximum Exposure. As time went on, Depth became a prefix for his other interests, both from a creative and commercial point of view:

Depth Recordings was set up in 1999 as the business end of our creative ventures. As a production company, we primarily composed music for media as well as joining forces on sound to picture work with BAM! music. We also produced and composed music for local artists and songwriters. This project is currently in mothballs whilst we fully concerntrate on material for Fullmono.

Our label Depth Progressive was set up 2002, and is highly focussed on promoting and releasing our own creative efforts both as Fullmono and Depth.

DepthDigital has undergone a metamorphosis scince it's instigation in 2000. Consisting of a loose-knit collection of musicians, new-media artists, filmmakers and buisiness people, it was an ambitious attempt to fuse these talents into a coherent creative project. DepthDigital is now the name of our studio, which is located on the sunny South Coast of England.
