14/11/2003; Welcome to Breakslog; common sense and coherency may not apply...

Well, thought I'd give this whole blogging thing a whirl and see what all the fuss was about. Been trying to figure out the merits of blogging, why people would want to share what is essentially their journal with the rest of the world. Maybe bloggers like the idea of random people having a peek at their daily lives. Or perhaps a legacy that will continue to exist in a protected environment, should anyone suddenly cease to exist in this world? Anyway, the best route to knowledge is discovery, so I'm giving it a go.

This seems to be ANOTHER technology I'm catching on to late. For someone who likes to surf the technology wave, I always seem to be one step behind. I bought a 604e Mac a few months after G3's came out, bought a Nintendo64 just as the PS2 was launched etc... etc... Still, made up for it this year, managed to pull myself onto the cusp of Music and Mac tech with the upgrade of my studio and upcoming 17" Powerbook Purchase (though that will be a G4 in a G5 world!). Still, have never felt so creatively liberated with all these new toys and tech! Whether it's an illusion or not will bear fruit over the next year as I learn all the ins and outs of this stuff. Bunged a shitload of gear up on eBay last night, getting rid of all the items that have become useless over the years. Hopefully they'll go to a new home where they'll be more useful. Meeting with Matt later today to hand over a demo.
