There's nothing like three weeks in a third world country to make you appreciate the creature comforts of home.

Don't get me wrong - Madagascar is a beautiful country, with a rich history and some of the most amazing ecology in the world. It's just that when your used to an on-demand world, it gets a little desperate when you can't keep in touch with worrying parents or even keep upto date with what's happening in the world.

Despite that though, it's just one of those experiences that you just have to do - if you haven't jungle trekked (your neck permanantly craned upwards in case something interesting is crawling through the trees) or had a Lemur sitting on your shoulder eating our of you hand then you haven't lived!
