14/04/2006; Itchy Techy Finger...

I've been getting what I describe as "itchy-techy finger" for the past couple of months - a condition that pretty much describes the phase in a blokes life where he feels like he's not got enough technology, or feels undescribable pressure to upgrade the technology he does have...

It doesn't help when you have a substantial amount of back-pay coming from your day job, which immediately ups the ante. In any case, I've been meditating on the problem, deciding how best to upgrade my already fabulous pre-production facility into the programming suite of kings.

Enter one Roland V-synth, with all it's elasticated audio mangling, VA synthesis and modelled COSM effects. And, the piece de resistance - one Mackie Control Unversal, complete with 8 channel extender. Now this place is starting to feel like the imaginary studio in my head...

Now if only I could afford the Plasma TV for the wall... you know, for, erm soundtrack work...
